Narendra Pushkarini also known as Narendra tank puri is a sacred tank (holy pond) located within the premises of the Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha, India. It is believed to be one of the four divine tanks of Puri, and it is said that taking a dip in the tank can cleanse one’s sins.
Legend has it that Lord Jagannath used to take a bath in the tank before entering the temple, and it is believed that the tank is connected to an underground tunnel that leads to the sea. The water in the tank is said to be of great medicinal value and is used in various temple rituals.
The tank is surrounded by several smaller shrines and pavilions, including the Ananda Bazar and the kitchen where the temple food is prepared. It is also believed to have a sculpture of a crocodile, which is said to be the guardian of the tank.
The Narendra Pushkarini is an important part of the Jagannath Temple complex and is a significant pilgrimage site for devotees who come to seek blessings and offer prayers to Lord Jagannath.
