Pro-Tips

• Visit Jagannath temple early morning (5:00 AM) to witness the beautiful Mangala Arati without the crowds. or visit late evening (after 8:30 PM). The crowds thin out significantly, and the atmosphere during the Pahuda Alati is incredibly peaceful and spiritual.
• Arrive at the Koanark Sun Temple by 8:00 AM. Not only is the morning light perfect for photography, but you’ll also avoid the heat and the large bus-tour groups that arrive after 10:30 AM
• To see the Irrawaddy dolphins at Satapada, take the earliest boat ride (6:30 AM - 7:00 AM). Dolphins are most active in the cool morning water, and the lake is much calmer before the midday heat.
• If you want to experience the Abadha (Mahaprasad), head to Ananda Bazar inside the temple between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. This is when the food is freshest. Always carry a small cloth bag to carry dry Khaja back for your family!
• For Beach Lovers (The Sunrise View): Puri’s Golden Beach is a "Blue Flag" certified beach. For the most stunning sunrise, head to the stretch near the Lighthouse—it’s much cleaner and less crowded than the main Swargadwar area.
